The 2011 LONG ISLAND DRIVE capped off quite possibly their most impressive  season in franchise history, after dethroning the 4-time league and 3-time national champion Long Island Black Sox in this year's repeat matchup for the 2011 Pro Wood Championship, winning 5-0 on a one-hit shutout by Drive ace and Cy Young, TOM KAHL.   The DRIVE finished off the season with a franchise-best win streak of 18 straight games, including a sweep throughout the playoffs and championship, and an overall record of 26-4 on the '11 season.  From June 27th through to the championship, the DRIVE never lost another game...a remarkable feat by any organization.  The 2011 title is the 2nd in DRIVE franchise history at the top level of amateur baseball on Long Island.  Congratulations to the entire DRIVE roster for a job well done!
